A bit about ShiatsuLu:
Louise grew up in the New Forest, UK and Kuwait, she was introduced to esoteric concepts, mediation and yoga in 1996. Since then she has been dedicated to the practice of exploring many diverse forms of meditation, yoga, chi-gong, energy work, shamanic journeying, shadow-work, martial arts, plant and mineral medicine and has completed extensive meta-physical studies.
She studied Fine Art in London graduating in 2001, specialising in colour photography and video installation.
It was then that she discovered community work, she started to work with S.E.N.D children as a support worker and then in specialist Adventure Playgrounds (APGs). She trained in Play Theory and managing Challenging Behaviour with Bob Hughes and Penny Wilson. She continued to work in APGs from 2003 until 2022 taking on Assistant Managerial roles and running Community Outreach sessions in Bristol. She has dedicated time to teaching children and young people (CYP) about healthy eating through gardening and outdoor cooking, art workshops and theatrical play. In 2020 and 2021 she worked with CYP to facilitate processing their feelings about the pandemic and lockdowns through play.
Louise studied Zen Shiatsu with Kris Deva North and Michael Cullingworth and other brilliant teachers at the Zen School of Shiatsu in London between 2006-2012. The Zen School of Shiatsu was founded on the Taoist shamanic medicine principles as taught by Mantak Chia and Zen Shiatsu as taught by Shizuto Masunaga and Shiatsu as taught by Carola Beresford-Cooke. She studied Quantum Shiatsu as taught by Nicola Ley and Gabriella Polli in 2020 and Shiatsu for Birthing as taught by Susanne Yates in 2019. Louise has been developing her Shiatsu practice solidly since
All this whilst managing a part time international career as an inter-disciplinary Artist!
In recent years Louise has developed her Shiatsu practice to include specialist work with Complex Health Conditions and is now specializing in working with S.E.N.D clients of all ages. She has been working with non-verbal CYP and adults now for over 20 years it is only fitting that she had broadened her Shiatsu practice to include this client base.
In 2025 she was included in the best selling podcast The Telepathy Tapes and is now a Co-Director for Cocreating Inclusivity CIC and is launching the project Indigo Wings to facilitate consent based creative communication projects beyond words for non-speaking and non-reliably speaking CYP.
Since speaking about the Ethics of Telepathy at the event Anything Is Possible in Florida, US in early 2026 Louise is now advising clients on hrmonising relational field dynamics and advocating for consent based pracice wih non- speaking individuals

Shiatsu with ShiatsuLu
In my Shiatsu practice, I offer a nurturing and philosophical space where deep healing can unfold whether that be physically, emotionally or mentally.
I work intuitively with each client, tuning into the body and breath to guide the pressure—from gentle, soothing touch to deeper, more robust work—allowing the body to release tension, stuck energy, and even deep trauma.
I draw on Zen Shiatsu and Quantum Shiatsu, blending physical alignment with multi-dimensional energetic shifts.
Every session is guided by the body itself: I read its map, noticing areas that need extra attention, while supporting the flow of energy throughout.
Music with relaxing tones helps to hold the frequency of the session, and I consciously use my own breath to help release and integrate energy, creating a safe container for deep physical, emotional, and energetic work.
" When the whole of my being can be totally present for the whole of your being in that moment a simple touch can send ripples through the universe, and as a result even the most stubborn of physical conditions will yield. With this principle if we apply understanding of the physical body and all of its complex correspondences and work with the circuitry of the body amazing results are possible." ShiatsuLu
